Biodynamics in Utarkhand, India

Some views on biodynamic farming in the southern slopes of the Himalayas
In the hard laboured but beautifully delicate field stairs, we can find ladybugs and all other usefull bugs, every time we walked on the paths and between the fields of Mukteswar area. A sight that is rearly seen at chemical fertilising plantations since all the bugs are killed without descrimination. The hundrend farmers of this perticular mountain area, six years ago agreed to practice farming through the biodynamic way, according to the planetary calendar and the preperations as described by R. Stainer. This turn from chemical to biodynamic farming has been proven to offer the people 20% more income and healthier lifesTo sustain a 160 hectare area strictly biodynamic the need for a well organized preperations farm is obvius and that is the role of Supa Biotech for Mukteswar area.
Every preperation needed can be found available here throughout the year
Winter and summer cow horns preps are buried here, oak trees are native, chamomile and valerian plants are growing very well, vermicompost and even deer blader prep wait for the farmer to use them.

20 thousand cow horns are being use every year and after a two year use add their matter to the vermicompost to be recycled

The virbela dilution system is a new addition to the biodynamic family and it seems to be a very productive way to mix preperations for large water quantities

The search for biodynamic farming in India is continued but due to very hot conditions in the south I'm not sure when the next pictures are going to be available.
